The Old Man and The Sea is a true classic by Ernest Hemingway.
It is a book that has been read and reread by generations. The book is about the spirit of the Old Man as he went fishing and caught the biggest fish of his life after 85 days. He doesnt consider defeat. He doesnt give up. He respects the fish. It comes out when he says to the fish , "I love you and respect you very much. But I will kill you dead before this day ends.”
He loves a good fight and he respects the strength of others even while going down. The old man teaches some valuable lessons on life, hope (it is a sin not to hope), facing adversity (man can be destroyed but not defeated) and giving till the last ounce of strength preserves.
"Anyone can be a fisherman in May"
