Tumblr is a microblogging and social media website. Users can maintain their own blogs as well as follow others blogs at Tumblr. Yahoo bought out Tumblr in June this year. The site became famous when it boasted of Michelle Obama's blog.
Tumblr allows you to follow blog, reblog, post pics, music, videos and customise it.
Tumblr / Dashboard is the place where one goes to to start the tumblring (is that a word?)
The site has more than a 100 million blogs - so you can gauge its popularity. So if you want twitter, facebook, blgging at one place with your community of friends - maybe Tumblr is the place to go. There's the question of course - is Tumblr cool? Need not be! Its got enouh juice not to flickr (ooops) out!
